The University of Maryland, Baltimore, offers graduate and professional degree programs in dentistry (DDS), law (JD and LLM), medicine (MD), nursing (MS and DNP), physical therapy (DPT), pharmacy (PharmD), public health (MPH), and social work (MSW), as well as the PhD in nursing, physical rehabilitation science, gerontology, and social work. Research doctorates are awarded in the biomedical sciences through an interdisciplinary graduate school. BS degrees are offered in nursing, medical and research technology, and dental hygiene. Working with our major partners, the University of Maryland Medical System and the Veterans Administration Medical Center, the University provides an ideal setting for research and clinical practice experience. Several schools and programs have been highly ranked nationally. Some programs offer evening and weekend programs to accommodate part-time students both on-campus and at off-campus outreach sites.
