Money for college (also known as financial aid) is any grant or scholarship, loan, or paid employment offered to help a student meet his/her college expenses. Such aid is usually provided by various sources such as federal and state agencies, colleges, high schools, foundations, and corporations. Financial aid helps students and their families pay for college. This financial assistance covers educational expenses including tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, transportation and personal expenses and services. There are several types of financial aid, including grants and scholarships, work study and loans. Financial aid awards may include various combinations of the types of aid.
The Financial Aid Offices at each campus have professional staff members and administrators to administer the aid programs and advise students and their families regarding the financial aid opportunities available to them.
