Aleazor King Taylor

taylor_aleazor.jpgAleazor King Taylor has dedicated her career to improving fire safety education and intervention for youth through her esteemed role at the DC Fire & EMS Department. With 25 years of experience, she has made remarkable strides in expanding fire safety programs and fostering partnerships that have significantly benefited the community.

As the Program Manager and Juvenile Firesetter Counselor for the Youth Firesetter Intervention Program and Fire Safety Education Program, Ms. Taylor has effectively collaborated with various stakeholders including law enforcement, schools, and mental healt​h agencies​. Her contributions have led to the successful identification and support of over 1,000 youth firesetters, providing them with tailored educational interventions.

Her extensive network includes affiliations with several educational and safety organizations, further reinforcing her influence and commitment to community safety and youth education. She serves on several committees such as the District of Columbia’s Child Fatality Review Committee, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments Fire and Life Safety Committee and the National Fire Protection Association Public Education Network.

Her credentials include certifications from the National Fire Academy and the Maryland State Department of Education. Ms. Taylor also has an educational background in Elementary Education from Cheyney State University, alongside advanced studies in Guidance and Counseling from Bowie State University.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Taylor is a committed family woman residing in Bowie, Maryland, with her husband and their twin sons.
