Community Health Nutrition Program Description
MSU is proposing a M.S. in Community Health Nutrition. Below is a brief program description: <br>Learning Outcomes In completing the degree, graduates will be expected to: <br> <br>1) Demonstrate how to locate, interpret, evaluate and use professional literature to make ethical, evidence-based practice decisions. <br> <br>2) Discuss the impact of health care policy and different health care delivery systems on food and nutrition services. <br> <br>3) Use the Nutrition Care Process to make decisions, identify nutrition-related problems and determine and evaluate nutrition interventions. <br> <br>4) Demonstrate counseling and education methods to facilitate behavior change and enhance wellness for diverse individuals and groups. <br> <br>5) Apply management theories to the development of community health programs or services. The 30-credit hour program seeks to enroll 13 full-time students in its initial year and projects enrollment of 25 full-time students by its third year.
