Integrative Health Studies Program Description
Maryland University of Integrative Health has created a Master of Arts in Integrative Health Studies as an interdisciplinary program comprised primarily of existing courses in existing program areas. This non-clinical interdisciplinary program provides the opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge that will enhance the professional careers of wide range individuals in the health care field. The core curriculum provides foundational knowledge in the theoretical and philosophical foundations of integrative health practices, evidence-informed efficacy of such practices, and practical and business models for the inclusion of integrative practices in allopathic care settings. The elective curriculum provides students with the opportunity to explore particular integrative health care practices in greater depth through areas of concentration. This will be a five trimester long (20 months), fully online program to be effective fall, 2018.
