Distance Education

The State of Maryland 2015 General Assembly passed legislation that permits the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) to establish regulations for the State to participate in the State Authorization and Reciprocity Agreement (SARA).

During the upcoming months, MHEC must develop regulatory guidelines, and process and procedures to ensure fluid implementation of SARA, and as such, out of state institutions must renew their Certificate of Approval or registration until the State of Maryland makes effective its SARA membership.
