Critical Infrastructure Program Description |
The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Critical Infrastructure provides students with the opportunity to conduct extensive and sustained original research at the highest level in the field of Critical Infrastructure. The Ph.D. in Critical Infrastructure is a unique interdisciplinary program designed to meet the demand for the highest skilled professionals to become the leaders who will direct the upgrade, security and management of the nation’s Critical Infrastructure. The program addresses one of the greatest technical challenges of the 21st century – how to create a robust and sustainable infrastructure that is resilient against multiple threats and hazards as well as build operational, systems, and programmatic capabilities for detection, protection, prevention, mitigation and response. Capitol Technology University is in a unique position to provide students with an avenue to pursue a deep proficiency in this area using an interdisciplinary methodology. Graduates will contribute significantly to the Critical Infrastructure field through the creation of new knowledge and ideas. The program is designed as a doctorate by research where students will quickly become able to engage in research and publishing without the need to navigate the limitations inherent in traditional coursework models. This degree is for current professionals in the field who desire to elevate their skills to the highest level and contribute to the body of knowledge in Critical Infrastructure. |
