Office of Outreach and Grants Management

The Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) administers educational grant programs funded by state, special, and federal funds. The Office of Outreach and Grants Management issues funding solicitations for grant projects and develops programs to support Maryland’s postsecondary education plan. Programs are designed to address the State’s economic and workforce development needs, campus reform initiatives, student preparation for postsecondary education, faculty and student diversity goals, and teacher professional development objectives.

Help Stop Fraud in State Government

The Maryland General Assembly’s Office of Legislative Audits operates a toll-free fraud hotline to receive allegations of fraud and/or abuse of State government resources. Information reported to the hotline in the past has helped to eliminate certain fraudulent activities and protect State resources.
