Area of Concentration (A.o.C.) in Sport Management Program Description
Frostburg State University is proposing a substantial modification of a currently existing program, the Master of Science in Recreation, Parks, and Sport Management. This substantial modification of the existing program will consist of a reorganization of the existing program curriculum to include two concentrations: 1) Recreation and Parks Management and 2) Sport Management.

This redesign will be built upon the current curriculum to assure that FSU’s program continues to meet the needs of Recreation and Park professionals, but will add a Sport Management component to provide a more up-to-date curriculum to meet the needs of professionals who wish to pursue Sport Management opportunities. Coursework includes 9 credits in core courses, 15 that are concentration specific, and 6 credits of a capstone experience. FSU will continue to offer this program fully online, with courses seven weeks in length.
