Elementary Education with new Area of Concentration (A.o.C.) in Special Education Program Description
The existing Elementary Education program at Frostburg State University prepares individuals to teach students all elementary education subject areas at grades 1-6, which aligns with the classification code for Elementary Education and Teaching. Graduates from the Special Education concentration will receive an endorsement on their certification from MSDE, as they have completed the required 30 hours of Special Education coursework and experiences. Candidates could also take the Praxis II subject test for Special Education but that would not be required for graduation or certification.
