Substantial Modification to Addictions Counseling Program Description
The M.S. in Addiction Counseling will prepare students for professional careers in alcohol, drugs, and other substance abuse, as well as addictions related to food and other and other mental health conditions with emphasis on prevention and treatment. Students in the program are currently required to complete 39 credit hours of graduate work. However, the modification will increase the credit load to 60 credits allowing students to earn credentials required by the marketplace and CACREP.
