| Program learning goals are assessed at various checkpoints throughout the PhD <br>program and are as follows: <br> <br>1) Be prepared for employment in research/faculty positions at top-tier research <br>institutions; <br>2) Contribute to the interdisciplinary public discourse on education improvement; <br>3) Engage in and promote evidence-based practices through the application of <br>rigorous <br>methodology; <br>4) Link education research to policy and practice; <br>5) Provide leadership in the field by developing an independent line of ethical and <br>culturally responsive research; <br>6) Contribute to development of the next generation of scholars; and <br>7) Be able to influence school policy and reform. |
