STEM Studies Program Description
Notre Dame of Maryland University is proposing a stand-alone Lower Division Certificate in STEM Studies. Below are the learning outcomes: <br> <br>1. Foundational Knowledge: Students will develop a solid understanding of core concepts in physics, biology, chemistry, and cybersecurity that enables them to engage in <br>interdisciplinary scientific work and solve complex scientific and technical problems. <br> <br>2. Research and Analysis: Students will cultivate the ability to apply the scientific method to design experiments, analyze data, and draw evidence-based conclusions in laboratory and research settings to address real-world STEM challenges while adhering to ethical research standards. <br> <br>3. Scientific Communication: Exhibit proficiency in oral and written communication, effectively disseminating findings and engaging with the broader scientific and technical <br>community. <br> <br>4.
