| Couple and Family Therapy Program Description |
| The PLOs are as follows: <br> <br>1. Students will demonstrate acquisition and application of knowledge in couple and family therapy theories and systemic/relational approaches to assessment, diagnosis, and <br>intervention. (Knowledge of the Profession) <br> <br>2. Students will demonstrate clinical proficiency in couple and family therapy practice and use of systemically/relationally oriented approaches in their assessment, diagnosis, and intervention. (Practice of Therapy) <br> <br>3. Students will demonstrate self-awareness and knowledge of how cultural, socioeconomic, and structural factors shape therapist and client experiences and apply multiculturally responsive clinical approaches. (Human Diversity and Social Structure) <br> <br>4. Students will be able to identify, critically evaluate, and address ethical dilemmas in the practice of couple and family therapy by applying relevant parts of the AAMFT Code of Ethics and legal regulations. (Professional Identity, Ethics, and Law) <br> <br>5. Students will be able to critically consume research studies and integrate evidence-based findings relevant to couple and family therapy practice. (Research and Evidence-Based Practice) |
