Senchal Dashiell Barrolle, Esq.

In April 2019, Commissioner Barrolle was appointed by Governor Lawrence J. Hogan, Jr. to serve on the Maryland Higher Education Commission. Senchal Dashiell Barrolle, Esq. is an experienced attorney with an active private law practice. She is currently an associate principal with The Law Office of Robert Fulton Dashiell, Esq. P.A. which serves corporate and individual clients mainly in the practice areas of civil litigation, family law and estate planning as well as business formation and government procurement with a focus on minority- and women- owned businesses.

Commissioner Barrolle is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland, the State of New York and the District of Columbia. She served as judicial law clerk to former Chief Judge Robert M. Bell of the Maryland Court of Appeals for the 2007-2008 term. She holds a Juris Doctor from The Georgetown Law Center. While there, she participated with two clinics, Street Law Community Clinic teaching legal concepts to juvenile delinquents and drug rehabilitation participants, and Domestic Violence Clinic representing victims of domestic abuse survivors in court under clinic supervision; she also held the position of 3L staff editor for the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, with general honors, from The Johns Hopkins University where she also obtained a certificate in social equality in the United States and was nominated and inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society.

As a strong supporter for mental health services, Commissioner Barrolle is honored to serve on the board of directors with the Black Mental Health Alliance for Education and Consultation, Inc.  Her professional memberships include the Maryland State Bar Association and the Baltimore County Bar Association. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
